Total Control URC Home Automation Installation & Wi-Fi Installation in Greenwich
This project entailed a smart upgrade being carried out at a furnished seven-bedroom property in Greenwich. The client requested this work because, having started to work from home, they required a good Wi-Fi connection that would enable them to maintain regular communication with colleagues.
Furthermore, the client needed the Wi-Fi to be of a sufficiently high standard to provide entertainment to his loved ones, without any interruptions occurring due to lag or a lack of signal. Another issue was that the property’s garden gym needed to be upgraded.
This combination of circumstances and needs at the client’s home led to our decision to install a Total Control URC home automation system, integrated with a variety of technologies. This project allowed us to transform the building into an up-to-the-minute smart home, providing a pleasant, convenient, safe, and secure abode for the client and his family.
The strategy
We needed to apply particular ingenuity to how we managed this project, given that it was being refurbished at the same time. This necessitated our team working around not only the family, but also the builders, before the completion of the installations.
Assessing the home when the client first approached us, we also concluded that the property’s security features were inadequate. So, we determined that the security systems would need to be upgraded if the client and his family were to feel safe and secure.
Results
The outcome of our work at this south-east London property was extremely positive, and to the client’s satisfaction.
This project encompassed the installation of Wi-Fi for the client’s home and gym, along with a smart entertainment system for his family. Moreover, we updated the client’s property and gym with smart lighting, as well as a TV and sound system, controllable via a mobile device or tablet.
The Total Control URC home automation system was integrated with Heatmiser, Rako lighting, an Ubiquiti mesh network, a DoorBird door entry system, and Hikvision CCTV.
The result was a very impressive all-round smart home. The installation looked great, in addition to making it easy for the family to enjoy spending time together.
In the client’s words, he admitted that he couldn’t “fault the service from start to finish… working from home can be difficult sometimes, so this home automation integration is going to go a long way for both myself and my company.”
